Johnny and I met when we were 21, though funny enough, we actually went to the same high school and had mutual friends without ever crossing paths. When we started dating, we spent a lot of time in downtown Corpus Christi, enjoying the sea wall, parks, and beaches. We loved the scenery and watching other couples “stop to smell the roses,” just like we did.As we grew older and accomplished more together, we felt like something was missing. We weren’t just carefree, fun-loving kids anymore—we were adults navigating jobs and responsibilities, like so many others. We realized we needed something exciting to bring that joy back into our lives. Jake, Carlos, and Danyelle, our good friends, inspired us with their passion for helping others, which is why we partnered with NHEproductions.
